Masterclass in determination from 5s

Ops delivered a masterclass in determination to secure their phenomenal first win of the season! Right from the opening whistle, the team showed incredible focus, staying vigilant and ready for anything. The match began as an intense tactical battle between two evenly matched sides, but once Ops found their footing and understood the opposition’s game play, they managed to adapt accordingly. The Ops completely upgraded their game, dominating the first half and forcing multiple short corners. While the opening goal narrowly eluded them due to tricky angles, their relentless spirit never wavered. Meanwhile, the opposition tried desperately to break through down the sides, but Ops great defence worked tirelessly to deny them a single short corner or clean shot at goal.

During the second half, Ops were even more determined to finally score after so many attempts. Ops continued to press on the opposition with their efforts being paid off. After several passes in the opposition’s half, through great persistence Griff managed to push the ball over the line to bring Ops to one goal up.

The opposition fought back hard, turning up the tempo with fast, heavy passing, but Ops stood tall. Ops completely owned the midfield, shut down their momentum, and refused to let up for a single second. That unwavering work rate set the stage for the grand finale: a brilliant, seamless passing sequence from the front five allowed Norman to slot the ball into the goal, sealing a 2-0 win!
