The ladies 5s travelled to Herne Bay for a late game looking for our 3rd win of the season. We played some great hockey from the start, moving the ball out of defence through midfield and onto the forwards, we were just unable to score. The defence ensured any Herne Bay attacks were dealt with swiftly with player of the match Hannah Wallace taking control of the midfield. We continued to dominate the game but Herne Bay’s defence held on and with their goalie making lots of saves it remained 0 - 0 into the 2nd half. We eventually broke the deadlock with a lovely goal by Lilly-Ella Gore. Even though we were unable to score again, with a final score of 1 - 0 it was a great team performance and a well deserved win.
