The Under-14 girls played their first league game of the season against T Wells and got off to a fantastic start. They moved the ball with accuracy and pace from the outset, creating plenty of attacking opportunities and looking particularly dangerous from short corners. Their positive play was rewarded with two goals, giving the Ops a 2–0 lead at half-time.
T Wells came out strongly in the second half and had some skilful players who continued to put pressure on the Ops defence. However, the girls defended brilliantly, dealing with every attacking threat and showing great determination to keep a clean sheet. The game was finally put to bed with an excellent deflection, making it 3–0 at full-time. A fantastic result and a very positive performance from the girls in their first game of the season. Well done, girls!
