The Folkestone Mighty 7s continued their formidable march at the summit of the league, turning in another disciplined, high-energy performance to secure a convincing victory over Marden.

Defensive Resilience & A Welcome Return
It was another masterclass in defensive solidity from the back line. Milktray made a hugely welcome return between the posts, putting in a stellar shift despite one heart-in-mouth moment where he managed to trip over his own feet before recovering brilliantly to clear the ball with his stick.
Protected by a rock-solid unit of Crab, OG, Luce, WPR, and Beans, the defence put in a tremendous shift, suffocating Marden's attack and ensuring they hardly got a whiff of a chance at goal all afternoon. Marden's only consolation came via a well-dispatched penalty stroke, which Milktray guessed correctly on and only just missed.

Match Highlights & Goal Breakdown
Goal 1: Folkestone opened the account from a short corner. Mjolnir slipped the ball to Messy, who stepped neatly inside and pushed it clinically into the bottom corner.

Goal 2: Pure brilliance from deep. Messy launched an absolute rocket of an aerial from his own half that bounced just outside the circle. MVG leaped like a salmon to meet it, slapping it expertly over the advancing keeper's head.

Goal 3: Goal 3: JJ took a quick free hit, allowing Messy to deflect the ball into Mjolnir. Showing the strength of an absolute beast to hold off the defender from piling in and shutting him down, Mjolnir trapped the ball, spun onto his reverse, and hammered it into the top corner.

Goal 4: Mjolnir found himself out wide on the right and fired a dangerous ball across to the back post for Bondzio. Though a defender got a crucial touch to take it away from Bondzio's initial reach, he kept it brilliantly in play and squared it back into the path of Dave, who slotted it home into the bottom corner.

Goal 5: Described as nothing short of a miracle recovery. Luce was venturing forward, looking genuinely lucky not to trip over his own two feet, and delivered quite comfortably one of the worst passes ever witnessed on a hockey pitch. Fortunately, Mjolnir turned on the afterburners, making a blistering run to the baseline that made him look like The Flash incarnate. Mjolnir collected it and crossed with a crisp push for Dave to expertly deflect past the keeper.

Goal 6: Flatline was driving hard on the ball toward the top of the circle. With MVG creeping in and calling loudly for the square ball, Flatline delivered a delicate pass across, allowing MVG to sweep a first-time slap perfectly into the bottom corner.

Another fantastic team performance keeps the Mighty 7s firing on all cylinders at the top of the table!
