

After a quick team jog around the village and warmup the team were ready to go. Ops lined up 4-3-3 with the wind against us. It was a frantic start with a few early chances created by are midfield 4, Kyle G, Coombs, Furneaux and ball. Hopkin came close at the back post but the ball just wouldn't go in.
Sevenoaks struck first on the counter attack, but Ops responded soon after through a line breaking ball from Phil I into Hopkins path who then slipped it across goal to Furneaux, it was 1-1 at half time.
Sevenoaks came out strong winning an early short coner forcing Brenchley to make sharp save and with some solid defending Ops managed to overcome the quick start, but then with a controversial decision Sevenoaks went 2-1 up and soon after made it 3-1.
But the Ops continued to fight working hard to press Sevenoaks with forwards Timmins and Hopkin putting in a real shift. Then came the reward with With a clever near post flick from Hopkin to put the Ops back in it 3-2.
Kyle G and ball took control in the middle seeing a lot of the ball and making some magical runs. Wisharts aerials in the second half added a new dynamic with some close chances created. However Sevenoaks kept up their pressure forming Brenchley into some class saves keeping us in the game at 3-2, however inevitably Sevenoaks scored a fourth.
With a short amount of time left the Ops applied the pressure and found a way through with a cracking volley from Coombs off the post and in, his first goal at this level to make it 4-3! However Ops couldn't find that last piece of the puzzle the game ended 4-3 to Sevenoaks.
