Folkestone W4 faced a strong and well-organised Burnt Ash W3 side this weekend and ultimately fell to a 3-0 defeat.

From the first whistle, Burnt Ash showed their quality, moving the ball confidently and putting Folkestone under sustained pressure. Despite the visitors' attacking threat, Folkestone worked tirelessly across the pitch, battling hard to stay in the contest and creating moments of their own.
The defence was tested throughout the match, with Burnt Ash capitalising on their opportunities to build a three-goal advantage. Folkestone continued to compete with determination and refused to let their heads drop, showing resilience and team spirit against an impressive opposition.

A standout performer for Folkestone was Katie Janman, whose effort, first-touch and quality earned her the well-deserved Player of the Match award. Katie's work rate and positive influence were evident throughout the game as she continued to drive the team forward despite the difficult challenge.

While the scoreline did not go Folkestone's way, the squad can take valuable lessons. With hard work and continued development, Folkestone will look to bounce back in their next fixture.
