The sun was shining to support our away game to third in the league Deal, like the sun we rose to the challenge. We held as a team, our defence were strong, with Sue French making some fabulous saves at multiple short corners. There were many opportunities for us to score, with a couple of shots on goal early on in the first half, but later we couldn't break down the Deal defence to put the ball in the net. Demi Broome made some excellent runs to combine with the attackers for some excellent goal scoring opportunities. There were some lovely transfers between Sarah Andrews, Rachel Darling, Gill Steer and Janna Courtney in defence, to open up the play to the mids and forwards. The second half Ops came out strong, using techniques from training and continued to apply pressure, but unfortunately not managing to convert. The game ended 0-0, a fair result. We will build as a team and take away the positives, ready to take on Dartford next week.
