Despite a very cold Saturday and many games cancelled the 4’s braved the weather.
The team were all switched on from the beginning and produced some of their best hockey, doing short sharp passes and moving the ball around.
In the first half the Ops had a few chances but struggled to score until Hils Mercer slipped the ball through to Ju Griffin who spun and slipped the ball past the keeper. This buoyed the team up and the came out strong in the 2nd half. The defence and midfield worked hard and kept the ball out. Ops had a couple more chances but it wasn’t until a short corner was awarded Tess Huijgen smacked the ball straight in.
A great effort by everyone and player of the match was awarded to Sarah Cheeseman.
