Optimist Womens 1s added another 3 points to their tally winning 3-1 this weekend at home Vs Guildford 3s.
Goal 1 came from a team effort transferring round the middle, for Jo Bryen to power it into the D, a touch from Becca Shaw onto Meg Scott, passing to Becky Wyatt on the post to slot it home.
The team didn't lose their heads keeping the score at 1-0 into the second half.
Player of the match Isla Gallagher was on fire, making consistent dangerous runs into their D.
Goal 2 again came from a transfer in the 25, over to Steph Mills on the left, who drove into the D and had a cheeky flick, with Ash Taylor getting a fantastic touch to slot it past the keeper.
Though Guildford managed to get a goal through us putting the score at 2-1 the defence stayed strong, Becca Smith not letting anything else through.
In the final minutes Becky Wyatt secured Folkestones victory firing the ball into the backboard from the top of the D.
Yet another hard fought victory for the team, and another performance proving they are back in the league where they belong.
