Folkestone Optimist HC are delighted to announce our latest partnership with LEAP Hockey! LEAP is a leading global training movement based in the US, founded by Ross Gilham-Jones one of our own!
“I started playing at FOHC with my dad Deryl, in the fledglings when I was 10. Moved to Canterbury at 15 and represented England and Great Britain through the junior age groups with a highlight winning a silver medal at the youth Olympics in Australia 2013. After this I was selected in the squad in the build up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. After 18 months of injury decided it wasn’t the path I wanted to take but rather pass my experience and knowledge onto the next generation of athletes. I set up LEAP Hockey while living in Melbourne with the goal to give the next generation of athletes the opportunity to learn what it takes to become a pro.”
